Helpful Hints for those who think they might have a haunted
house or poltergeist
This may not answer everything but we hope this helps calm
some of your fears.
Look for the obvious!
More times than not a paranormal event is a natural event. Old
pipes and floorboards can make seemingly unearthly sounds in the middle of the
night or day. Animals will seek shelter in attics or even in walls sometimes.
Thin walls can let the most faintest sound pass through. Exhaust these options
first.
Keep a Diary!
Log the events when they happen. See if a
pattern emerges. Trains that pass by or regular freight trucks on the highway.
Even cars with passing headlights can look out of place at night.
If you hear voices
or see apparitions log them as well. Any things unexplained or out of the
ordinary. You might be able to debunk the haunting before it begins.
You’re
in Charge!
If you do have a ghost in your house remember it is your house
now. Most of the time ghosts linger out of attachment. Usually but not all of
the time telling a spirit to leave will work. If you as a family get together
and talk to the ghost, let it know that it is not welcome it will leave. Older
ghosts or more mischievous ones may still linger after.
Fear not!
Hollywood has done a great job at scaring us but please, please
remember that it is only entertainment. Ghosts were once people too. They had
dreams, ambitions and feeling just like us. So try to remain calm.
There are many theories as to why ghosts haunt houses or why spirits remain
long after they are gone, however the most reliable source are your five senses.
Use them!
