Stafford Springs Boroughs Elementary School

February 23, 2008

A joint investigation with NEPI .

The Borough Elementary School was built c. 1920 at the rear of the then high school facing Prospect Street. It has survived the flood of 1955 as well as the hurricane if 38.

Stories received have been in the form of mischievous children. Running down hallways, sitting up on desks and slamming doors.

In a talk with a former janitor who had said he would hear the toilets on the first floor lush when no one was around. This occurred in both the girls and boys rooms. He also mentioned strange noises in the basement, which was usually dismissed as the damper. Mostly because they did not want to investigate the sound.

The Investigation

We arrived at the school at 4pm and were let in by a town official. He explained that he would return at 8pm to lock up. Till that time we had the run of the school. Our teams split up. NEPI took the top floor while Insight took the basement.

We set our infra red camera in the gymnasium placing a ball in the middle of the room, In case the spirit wanted to move it we might capture it on camera.

We set up a standard video camera on the first floor facing the entrance hallway.

We split off into two smaller teams each armed with a digital recorder.

The following is the evidence we have collected. Please check with NEPI to see

EVP'S

This recording was taking in the basement in the kitchen. Tony, Steve and Auxiliary member Ron where investigating. You'll hear some talking and then a cell phone go off. Right before that you'll hear a voice sat Stein. If this is indeed an EVP then it might have been a teacher or student who once attended this school

This was taking in our temporary headquarters on the first floor classroom. About halfway through the investigation we hooked up with NEPI to compare notes. Tony had set the recorder on the desk in the room. You can hear both teams talking away in the distance then you will hear a distinct Hello.
